While attending the University of Redlands, Ashley and Clay were both athletically involved, which left little time for outside activities, including the searching for their soulmate. But, as fortune would have it, Ashley and Clay were finally introduced by a close mutual friend, Jarod Frost, during a Wednesday night at the local Bowling Alley. Clay was incredibly impressed by Ashley's ability to bowl and knew that she was worth getting to know.
While Ashley was not immediately overwhelmed by Clay's extreme good looks and cunning charm, Clay was certain that Ashley was someone he wanted to get to know better and pursued her with unbridled tenacity. The rest is history. After spending the next two years together while attending Redlands, Ashley and Clay made the move to Nothern California where they continue to live.
